Eggs also contain unique antioxidants, lutein and zeaxanthin, that can have important nutrient that dogs & cats may not produce enough of. Low choline levels has been implicated in liver disease, heart disease and neurological disorders like cognitive decline. Eggs provide more than double the amount of choline, per 100g, than any other food.

VOC'S

Fabric softener is one of the top causes of indoor air pollution: if your freshly washed pet has that "laundry smell" your pets are inhaling VOC'S.

Golden Tea

TURMERIC - the herb your dog should never be without

The active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin has been shown to prevent the growth of cancer. Curcumin activates genes that supress tumours, inhibiting their growth. Researchers have also discovered that using curcumin along with anti-cancer drugs plays a significant role in supressing the metastasis of cancer cells.

In addition, curcumin has been found to eliminate the harmful effects of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in the body. AGEs are created when foods, such as kibble, are cooked or processed at high temperatures. Consuming foods high in AGEs has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, kidney failure, and cognitive decline.

DOSE: 50 - 250mg (approximately 2mg/0.454kg of body weight), twice a day.

BASICS FOR EASING PET ALLERGIES

istockphoto-174959138-612x612.jpg

WARNING!

Scientists have found that the powerful antioxidants in pomegranates, strongly protect the heart from damage in dogs and may plan an important dietary role in preventing canine cardiovascular diseases and reducing the progression of cardiomyopathies. These powerhouses can also reduce inflammation, slow the deterioration of cartilage, and contain the precursor to Urolithin A, a metabolite that has been shown to reverse damage to mitochondria and slow down age related decline.

Dose:

About 1 tsp for every 4.5kg of body weight.

* Discontinue ultra-processed foods and

   assess for leaky gut/dysbiosis.

* Boost the omega-3 fats (DHA & EPA) in

   their diet.

* Regularly remove allergens from the

   skin.

* Supply the natural antihistamine

   support.

* Consider desensitisation therapy

New study finds: dogs fed jerky treats are developing Fanconi-Like Syndrome (fls) which is a kidney function disorder.

To date the FDA has received around 5,200 complaints of illnesses associated with chicken, duck, or sweet potato jerky treats.

The reports involve more than 6,200 dogs, 26 cats, three people, and more than 1,140 canine deaths.

   dust cat litter.

* Use all-natural, safe pest repellent for

   flea and tick control.

* Keep your cat's daily routine

   consistent.

* Feed a nutritionally optimal, species-

   specific diet.

* Switch to a fresh or raw diet and a

   new or novel protein source.

* Partner with an integrative

   veterinarian who will not insist on

   unnecessary vaccines.

Raw cabbage is rich in quercetin, which according to several studies, can reduce cognitive impairment, the severity of atopic dermatitis as well as tumour volume in animals and provides anti-inflammatory and anticancer benefits.

Step 1: Feed 10% new food blended with 90% old food for several days, and watch your pet's stool.

Step 2: If all seems well, move to 20% new/80% old food.

Step 3: Observe their stool for changes; if there's none, move to 30% new/70% old food.

Step 4: Continue adjusting the proportions until you're feeding only the new diet.

If stools become soft at any point during the transition, back up to the previous ratio and wait until the bowel normalises, then continue the weaning process.

   appropriate fresh foods, like fruits,

  vegetables, whole nuts, sprouted seeds

  and grains.

   rubber, organic hemp, cotton or other

   eco-friendly and contaminant-free

   with air holes, should be avoided.

* Offer your dog a variety of safe, high-

   quality toys and rotate them out every

   few days.

The important brain-protecting fat your dog may not be getting.

Did you know that the monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) found in avocado not only improve brain function,  they can reverse and even restore nerve cells in the brain that have been damaged by toxins or inflammation.

Studies have found that the high content of antioxidants and (MUFAs) in avocado may help manage and possible prevent seizures, cognitive decline and other neurodegenerative diseases.

More Hormone-Disrupting Chemicals Found in Canned Pet Foods:

istockphoto-182504322-612x612.jpg

ONIONS

* Hairballs and constipation

* Poor-quality diet and food

   intolerances

* Eating too fast

* Too much time in between meals

* Enzyme deficiencies

* Toxin ingestion

* An underlying medical condition

A new study conducted by a research group from University of Missouri found that feeding canned food exposes dogs to measurable amounts of bisphenol A (BPA) after just two weeks - an industrial chemical that disrupts endocrine function.

Vegetables are generally healthy for pets, but this one isn't.

Onions contain n-propyl disulphide that can damage your pet's red blood cells and cause these symptoms:

* Pale mucous membranes.

* Rapid respiratory rate

* Rapid heart rate

* Difficulty breathing

* Lethargy

* Dark-coloured urine (reddish or brown)

* Jaundice

* Weakness

* Depression

* Sensitivity to cold

Leeks and chives should also be avoided.

3 HEALTHY OILS

For your dog that do different things

Coconut oil: A concentrated source of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which may benefit your pet's cognitive function.

Krill oil: Rich in omega-3 fats eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Seed oils (flaxseed, hemp and pumpkin seed oils): Offer omega-6 fats and ALA, which are essential to your pet's immune system and liver and kidney health.

Wild-Caught Alaskan Salmon

Thanks to its nutrition profile, wild-caught Alaskan salmon has been dubbed a nearly perfect snack. Beneficial nutrients found in salmon include:

DHA and EPA - Omega-3 fatty acids that can help keep your pet's skin and coat healthy, reduce inflammation and maintain good heart health.

Astaxanthin - An antioxidant that can provide anticancer, antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory properties. It can also improve dog's mitochondrial function.

An excellent choice for pets is poached (never fried) organic wild-caught Alaskan salmon.

RAWHIDE

The Chemically-Laden Dangerous Chew Toy!

Why so dangerous? Aside from all the dogs that have lost their lives to intestinal blockages, the last recall by the FDA found a not approved "chemical cleaning agent" called quaternary ammonia (QACs) in these harmful chews. And more recently, scientist have discovered a chemical used to whiten rawhides, 'titanium dioxide' is a genotoxin and may damage you dog's DNA.

STEPS TO KEEP YOUR PET'S MOUTH HEALTHY

Eliminating pet food's hidden ingredients

Research has shown both chlorella and coriander can help naturally eliminate harmful heavy metals and glyphosate from the body. And pairing this supplement and herb has a synergistic effect, supercharging their ability to eliminate these contaminants. Feeding chlorella and coriander on occasion is particularly good for dogs fed more than 50% processed food or conventionally grown produce.

CHLORELLA + CORIANDER

Chlorella:

Dose per day for Dogs:

Under 11kg - 250mg

Up to 22kg - 500mg

Over 22kg - 750-1000mg

Coriander:

Dose per day for dogs:

Fresh - 1/4 tsp per 9kg: finely minced

Dried - one shake for every 4.5kg

Feeding one meal a day helps dogs live longer.

Based from the data of 24,000 dogs, researchers from the University of Arizona found that once-daily feeding in dogs reduces their risk of acquiring nine types of age-related diseases, such as cognitive decline, GI tract disorders and cancer.
